Born in Tours in 1983 and comes from the school of music of Joué Les Tours with Kit Lemarec, Renaud Detruit completed her studies at the Conservatory of Tours, where he obtained a Diploma of Musical Studies in Percussion and a 1st prize development. Eligible at the Conservatory of Lyon and Paris, he continued his studies in higher vocational education cycle at the Conservatoire de Boulogne-Billancourt in the class of Christophe Bredeloup and then with Franck Tortiller for extend his knowledge to jazz and improvised music.

Enriched by multiple encounters around working session with Jean Geoffroy, Bruno Giner, Eric Sammut, Alain Louvier (Archimedes creation), Alex Acuna, Antoine Hervé, Philippe Labadie, François Corneloup ... Renaud Detruit continues his artistic activity within «l'Orchestre Symphonique de Tours», the «Orchestre d’Harmonie de la Région Centre», «l'Opéra en plein air", l’ensemble «OPUS 16», «les Soirées Lyriques de Sanxay», «l’Ensemble Josquin des Près», «l’ensemble Itinéraire», the Brass Band « Exobrass », the «Claude DUCHET TENTET» and the «duo à la quarte» and «Mallet-Workshop» for which he composes and arranges musicals works.

Today he is a member of the «Orchestre des Equipages de la Flotte de Brest» and teaches as an assistant at the Conservatory of Tours.
